Harvest Full Moon + Partial Lunar Eclipse + Ritual for the Season

Posted by Jen Albright on

Are you ready for Eclipse season?

Eclipse season is a powerful time of transformation, an invitation to embrace change and realign with our highest selves. This is a cosmic period when the universe encourages us to pause, reflect, and make space for new beginnings. So, how can we harness this energy together?

1. Reflection & Release
During eclipse season, it’s essential to reflect on the past six months. Think about what you’ve outgrown or what no longer serves your highest good. Let this be a time to gently release old patterns, beliefs, or situations that are holding you back. Ask yourself, “What do I need to let go of to move forward?”

2. Set Clear Intentions
Eclipses often bring clarity, sometimes through abrupt changes. Use this clarity to set new intentions. What do you want to manifest in the coming months? What are your goals, dreams, or desires? Together, let’s take time to journal or meditate on where we want to direct our energy next.

3. Embrace the Unknown
Eclipse season can feel like the ground beneath us is shifting, and it’s okay to feel unsettled. This is the universe’s way of recalibrating us. It’s important to lean into trust—trust that whatever is happening is happening for you, not to you. Embrace the unknown, knowing that the path ahead is opening in divine timing.

4. Support Each Other
Change can feel intense, but when we walk this path together, we hold space for one another to evolve. Whether you’re feeling excited, overwhelmed, or uncertain, this group is here to support you. Let’s share our experiences, offer encouragement, and remind each other that we are capable of navigating whatever shifts arise.

5. Ground & Connect
With the heightened energies of an eclipse, grounding is key. Whether through meditation, spending time in nature, or even physical movement, let’s find ways to stay centered. Connect with your inner wisdom and with each other, knowing that we are all part of a greater flow.

Eclipse season is a reminder that we are always evolving, shedding old skins to reveal our most authentic selves. Let’s honor this time as a sacred opportunity to grow, both individually and as a collective. We are in this together!

Water Intention Ritual for Ceremony or Mindful Presence

This ritual invites you to create a sacred space, connecting with water as a powerful tool for setting intentions, healing, and release. You will utilize the elements of smoke, sound, and water to ground yourself, focus on your desires, and engage in a deep, transformative practice. This ceremony can be performed during the New Moon to set new intentions, and you may continue the practice throughout the lunar cycle until the Full Moon, when you’ll release and let go of what no longer serves you.

Tools Needed:

  • Incense for smoke cleansing
  • Bell for sound cleansing and setting intentions in motion
  • Large bowl to hold water
  • Pitcher filled with water, mindfully gathered

Directions:

  1. Grounding & Preparation: Begin by cleansing your space using incense. As the smoke rises, imagine it clearing away any stagnant or unwanted energies, leaving behind a purified area where you can connect deeply with yourself. Take slow, deliberate breaths to center yourself in the present moment. As the smoke drifts, you are grounded and open to what you are about to create.

  2. Sound Cleansing & Intention Activation: Take your bell and gently ring it, allowing the sound to reverberate through your space. This sound will help to activate and set your intentions in motion. As the vibrations resonate, let them symbolize the energy shift towards the purpose you seek to achieve in this sacred ceremony.

  3. Mindful Water Gathering: With your pitcher of water in hand, take a moment to be fully present. Reflect on how this water will serve as a conduit for your intentions. Hold gratitude for the element of water and its ability to hold and transform energy. With this mindful awareness, pour the water from the pitcher into the large bowl, allowing the flow to symbolize the manifestation of your intention. As the water moves, so too does the energy toward your desired outcome.

  4. Setting Your Intention: Once the water is in the bowl, speak your intention aloud or silently pray over the water. Visualize your intention being absorbed by the water—feel the connection between your words, your energy, and this element. Repeat affirmations as you focus your mind and spirit on what you are calling into your life.

  5. New Moon Practice: You can perform this ritual during a New Moon to initiate new cycles, goals, or personal growth. If you wish, repeat this ritual throughout the moon phase, reaffirming your intentions daily as the moon grows in strength.

  6. Full Moon Release: When you reach the Full Moon, it is time to release anything that no longer serves you. Write down anything you wish to let go of—whether it be negative energy, outdated patterns, or lingering attachments. In a safe space, burn the paper, and as the flames consume your written words, release it fully. Once the fire has taken hold, use the water from your bowl to quench the flames, symbolizing the final drowning of unwanted attachments. The water, which held your intentions, now washes away that which you are letting go, cleansing you for the next cycle.

This sacred practice can be as fluid as the water itself, adjusting to fit your personal needs, intentions, or energy at any given time. Let each element—smoke, sound, and water—guide you in your journey toward mindful presence and powerful transformation.
